Prince Harry

Here is a great book about Prince Harry: The Biographyof the Windsor family fame, aka the youngest of the British Royal Family.

Ocean's Thirteen

I went to see Ocean's Thirteen last night, the first movie I've been to in some time. I don't know why I go so infrequently to movies because I always enjoy the theater experience, except of course the price...wow...

Ocean's Thirteen is an all star cast including of course 46 year old George Clooney who just gets better looking everyday. Clooney stars as Danny Ocean, the ringleader of a band of thieves on their latest caper, this one in the name of revenge on the part of their friend. It's a pretty good movie, very slick and entertaining.

Of course the all star cast doesn't hurt, joining George Clooney are lots of big name stars like
Brad Pitt,
Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, Elliot Gould and of course, who could forget, Al Pacino! Directed by Steven Soderbergh and shot on location in Los Vegas some of the scenery shots are fabulous, makes me want to take a couple of million and go there for a little fun!

The first two of the Ocean's series movies grossed $800 million worldwide, and this one will probably be no exception. Where else can a girl see George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, all dressed hot, in one place?

It's hard to believe that George Clooney is still a bachelor,

and wow! what a catch he would be, so suave and handsome and one thing I noticed last night was his voice....the man has such a sexy voice, I don't know why I never noticed it before. Perhaps I was too busy looking at him.....sigh....

Ellen Barkin also costars as the sexy assistant to Al Pacino's character and has a somewhat funny, somewhat sexy role as a 'cougar' seducing Matt Damon.

If you like action movies with handsome men, where the bad guys are really the good guys and Robin Hood style criminals are your cup of tea, then you should really make time to go see Ocean's Thirteen!!

If you missed Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve you can get them HERE on DVD!!

In Defense Of Britney Spears

Britney Spear's mom, Lynne Spears has come out in defence of her daughter's recent public displays that had her fans wondering if their favorite pop star had lost her mind. In an interview with Us Weekly magazine Lynne Spears said her daughter, Britney Spears is "just figuring things out."

Unfortunately for Britney Spears, she is Britney Spears and everything she does is scrutinized by the media, her fans and anyone else who happens to read the paper, watch televison or surf the internet.

I have to agree. Let's face it, how many of us in our late teens and early 20's did some stuff that in later life we are either embarrassed about, laugh about or just don't like to even think about. Britney Spears unfortunately has an entourage of watchers who are right there to record the incident for all to see.

Britney probably will sort it all out eventually, we all do, in our own time. For some it comes early and is over quick, for others it lasts a long time, and some forever, that's where the aging party boys and girls come from. But they are the minority, most have it out of their system by their late twenties or early thirties.

Britney's trials are for want of a better word, 'louder' because we have all been there to watch her go from child star to young woman, complete with sexuality, fame and stardom, husbands and children, not to mention tons of money, fans that alternate between loving her and hating her, and lots of competition to stay in the spotlight.

We all know the chances of a child star, as Britney Spears was, making the transformation to adult star aren't that good. Just look at some of the others before her and ask yourself where are they now. They seldom manage to keep the level of stardom and popularity that they once enjoyed. That has to be tough, especially on a young person, I think it would be a bitter pill even for an older person.

Our problem, and it is our problem, is that we don't want our childhood stars to grow up, and we certainly don't want them doing things we don't approve of. We take it personal. We take it as an affrontery to us. We forget that beneath the singing voice, the good looks, and the fame and fortune is just another young woman, trying to decide the best way to wear her hair.....

James Gandolfini

James Gandolfini, 45, the actor who has won three Emmys, for Best Actor in a Drama, starring as Tony Soprano on the hit televison series about the "Mob" The Sopranos, is glad to be finished with it.

I read a Bang Media Report on MSN today that quotes James Gandolfini as saying that leaving The Soprano's was "a relief."

I suppose in the mob business, getting out without ending up in prison with 5 life sentences for racketeering, or not ending up "swimming with the fishes" would be a relief...I can understand that.

Of course, fans of The Soprano's like me for instance are sad to see the guys and girls move on, wondering what we will do without them. I suppose there are always the repeats.....

Paris Scared of the Toilet

Have you heard the latest about jailbird Paris Hilton? According to a report on MSN from Bang Media, Paris Hilton is so terrified of being photographed on the toilet in jail she is refusing to eat or drink.

Paris was released for a little while under house arrest but is back in the slammer now. According to the Bang Media report, she is afraid that opportunistic prison screws...er...guards...will take her picture as she sits on the toilet, so she has stopped eating and drinking to avoid having to go...um pottie...as we all know from watching televison and prison movies, toilets in prisons are not particularly private affairs.

Of course, not eating or drinking is not very good for your health, it causes things like dehydration which, allowed to go on for long can ultimately kill ya. On top of that it seems Paris Hilton has been doing some crying as well, which adds to the dehydration problem...Paris is drying up folks.

Hilton was released on house arrest but sent back because a judge overruled the decision to allow her house arrest. She is also back on the 45 day plan after the same judge reinstated her full sentence which had been reduced to 23 days for good behavior.

It sucks to be Paris Hilton these days, but that's what comes of driving while your licence is suspended and driving under the influence and flaunting the law. Paris is living proof that everyone pays the price someday. It's lucky for her that she is only sentenced to 45 days, what if she had killed someone when she was driving while suspended? Her 45 days could be much longer.

Personally I think it's too dam bad that Paris Hilton is stuck in her small cell, monitored constantly...so what? Now she is worried about someone taking her picture on the john? We've already seen worse pictures of her, and quite frankly I don't want to see any pics of Paris Hilton on the toilet....yuck...

Paris Hilton Scared But Can Do The Time

One of our party girls here on Chasing Celebrity, Paris Hilton showed up at the MTV Music Awards for one last night on the town before turning herself in to the Century Regional Detention Facility to start her sentence for violating her probation on driving related crimes.

Paris made some comments to the media about not being really how the media portray her and pointed out she could have gone to a 'pay jail' where apparently doing the time would be much easier, but according to Paris Hilton, she wanted to show people she can do it and she is going to be treated like everyone else. Admirable....but it gets worse, she actually told reporters, "I hope to be an example to other young people."

OK...give me a break. Paris Hilton wants to be an example to other young people....of what? How to do jail time? How to ignore probation? How to drink and drive? How to run around without underwear? C'mon, she is no example, I certainly don't want her being an example to my kids, except maybe an example of what not to do.

I can hear the conversations around home now with the girl teenagers...

"OK (insert girls name) you were drinking and driving, so suck it up and go to jail just like Paris Hilton, show the world that you are not afraid of going to jail."

I am not impressed. Sentenced to 45 days Paris is expected to be out in 23 with good behaviour and she will be housed in a "special needs" unit within the jail which will keep her out of the general population.

In my opinion, Paris is a convicted criminal, guilty of impaired driving and other motor vehicle offences, topped off with breaching probation charges. She should be in the general population with the rest of the criminals and take her chances. As far as being a role model to other young people, give it up Paris, you're not much of a role model, and you're not even that young anymore....in fact, you're gonna be three weeks older before you see your next nightclub.
