New Britney Spears Explicit Tape ?

Well well...it seems the lovely and talented Britney Spears may be in the spotlight yet again, this time in what is being described as a sex tape scandal. Poor Britney, she seems to have trouble keeping out of trouble. Apparently, if the rumor is true, the tape was made last year prior to her meltdown.

If the story is true, and I have no idea if it is or not, the tape was made in Mexico and features Britney in a pink wig and nothing else, starring alongside her then boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, who is now trying to sell the tape.

So there is poor Britney, trying to make it back to the right place, and there is some dude threatening to exploit her, and make money on it. Ghalib hasn't said his price, but you can assume it is pretty high and he is the equivalent of a gold digger.

The story was released by Heat Magazine, who revealed that Ghalib has said he has the tape and it's for sale. Imagine the bidding for the 2 hour tape that is said to have been made in Mexico.

I'm not sure what motivates people to make sex tapes, and I am certainly not sure as to why someone as popular and well known as Britney would, but I know why someone would try to cash in on it. Britney Spears is a fascination to most of us, something like the Royal Family is to Britain. The idea of seeing her in a sex tape would be of great interest to a great many people.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not a prude by a long shot, and the idea of Britney is rather appealing to me. She is a very sexy woman. But, I can't abide with someone cashing in on her name and pictures at such a low level. If it's true, and again, I am not saying it is, I think it's a shame.

When are there going to be laws that say you can't distribute, sell or show tapes of this nature without the express written consent of all concerned, and with the caveat that persons appearing in the tapes can have the tape pulled if they should change their mind. To me, selling a tape of this nature is nothing short of criminal, and should be treated as such. The holder of the tape may be a man, but he is certainly not a gentleman.....
